In the recently released QS World University Ranking 2021 Australia features 36 universities in the ranking. Out of 36, only 6 have fallen in rank this year, with the majority of Australian universities making significant improvements.

In this year once again, the Australian National University is the top university despite dropping two places in the ranking. The University of Wollongong has entered the Australian top 10 universities this year and placed 196th in the world after rising an incredible 16 places.
